Are Car Reviews Important In A Car Website?

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

There is massive competition between the used cars business in the car market for many years. When recession hit the UK a lot of small car companies were forced to shut their business down as they were not able to compete against the big brands. Companies promoting themselves have also fallen because Google have now favoured the big brands before all the other and because of this smaller car companies cannot compete with the big brands.

In recent months people read the reviews and the feedbacks of the products before buying them. Because of this most car company’s websites now have car reviews section on their websites. They have no realised that people would want to read about the car and it’s features before buying it.

To be fair WhatCar and Amazon start this approach and now everyone are getting it. Many websites started adding car reviews section after seeing how effective it can be after The Review Centre. People who like shopping online (like me), this is a great tool for them to read about the product before buying. I can avoid the rush in town.

I puchased an Audi TT Roadster last week and I spent few hours reading the reviews and the feedback of people who have already driven the car previously. Yes I did read few negative comments but also lots of positive comments. Negative comments were about the interior rather than the specification or driving, hence I still bought the car. To be honest all I care about is the driving. But some people might care about the interior hence car reviews have made it very easier for us to buy a car. Especially an used car because you don’t know what problem an used car has and reading feedbacks and reviews on it before buying it is very useful.
