Are you starting Christmas shopping already?

Monday, July 4th, 2011

I have to start now because I have 9 grandchildren to shop for and 4 grown kids with families. I usually just cook a Christmas Dinner for the grown people and just the grandchildren and cousins open presents. If I don’t start now it would be impossible.
Not to mention the extended grandchildren that I buy for.
If you know an easier system please feel free to add comments.

What could I make for Christmas morning?

      Saturday, April 16th, 2011

My husband has to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.We are getting together with his family to open presents up(which is around 7-8am) and I would like to have a breakfast set up for the family. What could I make that is simple that doesn’t require a lot of fuss as we will be going back home so he can sleep the day away while the rest of the family will be off for Christmas Dinner.
      Any suggestions will be helpful.

How do I get out of Christmas dinner with my family?

        Saturday, April 2nd, 2011

I tend to have a lot of problems with my family, and we somewhat recently got into a fight that ended up very badly. I know by inviting me to Christmas dinner, they are trying to reach out to me, and make amends. However, I have a plethora of other activities I could go to that would be a lot more fun. How do I break it to them that I’m not going without hurting their feelings (too badly)? I’m not ruling out lying.

When should I start preparing Christmas dinner for approximately 8-10 people?

          Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

My boyfriend volunteered our house to have his family over, and this is the first time I’ve ever had to make a Christmas dinner. (Remind me to thank him later….) I have no idea what I am doing! How much should I make? Is there anything that I could possible prepare a day or so a head of time? What should I expect? Any good holiday recipes? Or any good websites to get recipes from? I’m not the greatest cook, is there anything simple, yet crowd pleasing? PLEASE HELP!
